We should work together to create a design that is both visually stunning and effective at meeting your business objectives. For this to happen we all have a part to play. This document shares a few tips on how we can work together to ensure the best design possible.”][vc_column_text]Three factors determine the direction your design should take.

Your Brand: Who are you?

Your Goals: What are you business goals and objectives?

Your Audience: Who are they and what do they need?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”It is about user needs and business objectives.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Don’t get bogged down in the details of the design. It’s our job to worry about the details. Instead, ask yourself two questions: How will my audience respond to this design? and Will it meet my business goals and objectives?

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Focus on problems, not solutions.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

If you want to get the most from your design it’s important for you to focus on problems and let us determine the best solution. For example, if you are worried that the color choices presented won’t sit well with your audience, explain why you think it’s the case. Let us work out how to best solve the problem rather than asking to change the design to use a specific color.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Explain why.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

When providing feedback during the design process, always explain why. Why don’t you think your audience will like the color? Often there are underlying reasons for a reaction to a design. Sharing these underlying reasons can enable us to find the most appropriate solution.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Recognize personal bias.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Design is very subjective. We all have our personal opinion when it comes to design. What one person loves another may hate. The question to ask is whether it will appeal to your target audience.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Avoid design by committee.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Because design is subjective showing it to too many people can just muddy the decision making process. Instead keep the number of people to a minimum and canvas their opinions individually to avoid ‘design by committee’.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Listen to the research.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

There is considerable science, psychology and research behind the design process. Where possible, build on best practice and avoid working from hunches and personal preferences.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Resist the urge to copy.” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

There is nothing wrong with looking at your competition for inspiration. However, blindly following what other people do is often a mistake. What works for one brand will not always work for another. Simply copying the competition will result in ending up one step behind them.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Communication” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Email is our primary and preferred method of communication so as to always have written documentation of all requests. You may contact us at any time in order to schedule a time to speak by phone or via Skype. We are in office during regular business hours (approximately 9am – 6pm EST) Monday – Friday. We will reply to all messages as soon as possible.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Deposits and Payment” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Prior to beginning work, we will require a non-refundable deposit for all projects. The deposit will be set according to the total cost of the project. The remaining balance will be due according to the agreed upon milestones and payment schedule. Final payment is due upon completion, once the final product is approved and before the final package is delivered. Emini Creative owns all rights until final payment has been made.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Additional Work During Project” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Should the scope of the project change after acceptance of terms and conditions, we will provide a detailed scope change to define additional work and associated costs. Additional costs will be applied if significant changs to a previously approved design are requested or if the scope of the project exceeds original agreement.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Cancellations” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

You can make cancellations at any time. Please keep in mind that the deposit is non-refundable. In the event of project cancellation, all rights to project designs and original art will be retained by Emini Creative. A cancellation fee for work completed, and expenses already incurred, may be applied. The cancellation fee will be calculated based on the hours submitted, if the project is on an hourly basis, or a percentage based on the time estimate for the entire job. If the project is complete, full payment is due. If the project is on an hourly basis and project is cancelled by the client, the client agrees to pay no less than 100% of the hours already billed for the project at the time of cancellation.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Abandoned Projects” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

A project will be archived if we have been unable to make contact over a period of 5 business days. Once contact has been reestablished a waiting period of up to 1 week may be necessary before placing the project on our active schedule again. A project is considered abandoned when we have been unable to make contact after 10 business days. Client is responsible for payment for all work completed as well as any cancellation fees applied. All rights to project designs and original art will be retained by Emini Creative.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Copyright” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Emini Creative owns all rights until final payment has been made. Use and/or distribution of any concepts that are not chosen and paid for will be a violation of Emini Creative copyrights.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Project Completion ” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

Final artwork files are emailed in a zip file. Please notify us if there is a special request. Once the entire project is complete and approved, and files have been delivered, the job will be closed as complete and you will have 30 days in which to request minor revisions at no extra charge.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_text_separator title=”Our Portfolio ” align=”left” style=”small” margin=”5″][vc_column_text]

We love to show off our work, so we reserve the right to add completed projects to our portfolio. In certain cases and due to privacy purposes, you may request to have your project not displayed in our portfolio. We respect that. Please notify us if this is the case.
